JOIN US AT THE PITTSBURGH DRAGON BOAT FESTIVAL ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 24, 2022 FOR A DAY OF FUN AT NORTH PARK LAKE!
The 2022 Pittsburgh Dragon Boat Festival offers a day of great fun and team-building for novice or intermediate community teams, as well as an opportunity for competitive sport teams to compete in an ERDBA qualifying event. Test your team’s abilities in 200 meter races, scheduled from 8:30 a.m. through 3:30 p.m. North Park is the ideal water venue for dragon boating, drawing praise from athletes and international experts for its sheltered, straight, race course.
ABOUT DRAGON BOATING
A dragon boat team consists of 20 paddlers sitting two abreast, a coxswain who steers the dragon boat from the rear, and a drummer who sits at the front.
CREATE A TEAM
At this year’s festival, community, sports and youth teams as well as Breast Cancer Survivor teams are expected to paddle and race for medals and awards.
ORGANIZED BY PITTSBURGH HEARTS OF STEEL
Pittsburgh Hearts of Steel is a support group open to all Breast Cancer Survivors. We want to provide a place where Breast Cancer Survivors of all ages and physical abilities can gather to discuss and act to improve their overall sense of well-being. We do this through physical activity, communication, support, friendship, and giving back to our community.
